 | Production Our focus on quality and long-term durability means being mindful of our resources – natural as well as human. We collaborate with small, family run weaveries from areas with a long, proud tradition of specific craftsmanship. Our wool rugs are handmade by artisans in Bhadohi, India, known for handknitted rugs since the 16th century, and our shaggy rugs are crafted in Samarina, Greece, where Flokati rugs have been made by hand for thousands of years. We value long lasting business relationships and work closely with our suppliers and production partners to always pursue the most sustainable solutions and processes. |
Design
We design for quality, long product lives and circularity. Using highly durable materials with superior longevity, we design our products to be made by hand, not machine manufactured – and we keep eventual disassembly in mind throughout the design process. We are also exploring circular business models like furniture rentals and premium second-hand sales.
Transport
To minimise our transport emissions, we always choose the logistics and transport solutions that offer the lowest possible carbon footprint.
Packaging
We aim to use recycled and environmentally friendly materials for all our Layered packaging, with a special focus on reducing the use of plastics.
