CREATE A BOND BETWEEN THE COLORS
How does color affect you and your home? And how do you spread energy and harmony through your decor? Let the decorator Sofia Tretow show how you can pair color and style. Sofia is a colorful stylist from Stockholm, with a passion for extravagant and romantic decor.
PICK UP COLORS
”An example of how to borrow color from detail and reinforce it by letting it echo in several places in the room. Here, different blue shades have been selected from the stove's décor, and oak in the wool rug Byzantine, the wallpaper "Balleroy" by Manuel Canovas, the urn and the linen napkins on the table.”
COLORS WITH AUTHORITY
”Here the walls are painted in a wonderful color from Farrow and Ball called "Down Pipe ". It is a color with a lot of authority and becomes it's very best if it is combined with soft colors, textures and relief elements (that moldings, bookshelves and mirror fields are painted, so that it will have a relief effect that causes the light to play on the walls). This color gets an incredible boost with the carpet Shera in light gray. ”
THE FLOW BETWEEN THE ROOMS
"Even if the rooms are separated by doors, they bring the mood from one room to another, and if they do not match, it is disturbing the flow. To make the color scheme in your interior work, the flow between the colors is very important."
